Andy Blackwood serves as a clearing house for verbal abuse within the band. He dishes it out, and boy, does he take it.
Andy holds a bachelor's degree in music from Boston University where he studied with Sam Pilafian and a master's degree from Northwestern University where he studied with Rex Martin. As an "adult," he obtained a second bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is currently a CAD support specialist with National Oilwell Varco. Yes, he is aware that it should be "Oil Well," but NOWV wouldn't be a TLA.* Besides, one has to pick one's battles. Andy is mostly grateful to have a boss who actually knows what it is he does for a living.
In his free time, Andy enjoys going to concerts He attended 72 during 2008 and 73 during 2007. No, really. He also collects beer- and sports-related memorabilia, although he isn't really sure why anymore. He is also an avid poker player, although not in immediate danger of appearing on television in that capacity, which is just fine by him. He is a regular at Canterbury Card Club and on Poker Stars, as well as a moderator on twoplustwo.com.
Andy's chair is sponsored by Grace Hendrickson.
