Milt Hovelson, Baritone Horn

A charter member of the Sheldon Theatre Brass Band, Milt hails from Hawley, Minnesota. He graduated from Concordia College with a BM in 1976. He proceeded to Big Sky Country (that's Montana for the uninitiated) and taught the Mighty Malta Mustangs. He is, along with flugel horn ace Ken Roberts, a band director at Twin Bluff Middle School in Red Wing.

Milt's hobbies include drinking beer, making beer, and talking about beer. He is also an avid distance runner, and one of his goals is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. He has three children--Anitra, Hans, and Elise, who, according to Milt, are all better performers and musicians than he is. We don't have much difficulty imagining this. :^)

Milt's chair is sponsored by Elinor Zielkie.
