Scott Cory, B-flat Cornet

Scott Cory is the Middle School Band Director for Zumbrota-Mazzeppa schools. He teaches four bands and serves as the head of the district's music department. Scott holds a B.M. in Instrumental Music Education from Moorhead State University and recently completed his M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning at St. Mary's University. While on retreat with the folks in his master's program, he met the lovely and talented Miss Kim, whom he married in 2005.

Scott is the proud father of Emma and Riley. They have smiles which wash away the troubles of the school day. He also has a dog, Pepin.

Scott's favorite activities are hunting and fishing. He apparently fishes without the aid of beer, which we can't quite figure out. He has considered taking up scuba diving so that he can retrieve lost fishing equipment, but he refuses to wear an oxygen tank. For that matter, he doesn't swim. Scott also enjoys golf, biking, and camping. He has been known to go marauding about Minnesota and Canada with Uncle Milty.
